The new Sprinter van is here, including the all-new electric model
If you like the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, or use one for work for leisure, here are the details on the new 2019 model.
As for the exterior styling, the Sprinter looks much like the previous generation. The tail lights are more squared off, the grille and headlights have a sharper look, and the overall profile is a little bit sharper as well.
The interior also is a set above the previous variant, with the focal point being a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The Sprinter is the second Mercedes model to use the MBUX interface, as it was also seen on the A-Class just introduced. Mercedes PRO Connect is also available. This allows fleet managers to monitor vans locations, check the pertinent fluid levels inside the vans, keep track of maintenance information, and manage driving assignments.
Dino-fuel and Electric variants will be available. Rest of world will get a manual option, while the USA will get a 9 speed automatic. The eSprinter is the new electric variant. This electric version will go on sale in Europe in 2019, and come to the USA shortly after that. Range is not known at this time, but don’t expect Telsa like range.
