The new GLE has a revised front fascia, a revised interior, and many revisions throughout. According to Mercedes, “Mercedes-Benz has thoroughly revised its best-seller in the SUV segment. The highlights of the new GLE include considerably more appealing front and tail ends and extensive measures which make new benchmarks with regard to emissions and drive system possible. For the first time in its SUV history, Mercedes-Benz offers a plug-in hybrid model, the GLE550e 4MATIC, which combines maximum efficiency with outstanding performance. This multi-talent will even best the already low fuel consumption figures of the efficiency champion GLE300d with four-cylinder diesel engine, while delivering the performance of a V8 model. The advantages of the new GLE furthermore include best on-road and off-road handling, outstanding spaciousness and high levels of active and passive safety. The high- performance SUV models, the Mercedes-AMG GLE63 4MATIC and the GLE63 S 4MATIC, celebrate their world premieres at the same time at the New York International Auto Show.

Furthermore, the GLE impresses with ground-breaking assistance systems and the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic handling control system, which offers extensive drive and off-road programs for even the base model.

The unmistakable design with the hallmark C-pillar and the variable interior with the wellness factor of a luxurious sedan model enrich the Mercedes-Benz GLE experience additionally. “Often copied, rarely equalled – the M-Class established the segment of premium SUVs in 1997 and since then has been one of the most successful models in the world. With the launch of the GLE, the edition will surpass the 1.6 million mark,” Kaellenius went on to say. And Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, added: “With the new GLE63 and seven additional performance SUV models from the GLA45 AMG to the G65 AMG, Mercedes-AMG is in an extremely strong and very confident position. All three generations of the predecessors were highly popular. We offer the right performance automobile for every individual taste in the further growing SUV segment.”

Diesel and hybrid drive: efficiency meets the joy of driving

In addition to the appealing design, the variable driving experience thanks to DYNAMIC SELECT and the assistance systems familiar from the E- and S-Class, the GLE impresses with an extensive engine line-up. Five equally efficient and powerful powertrain options with four, six or eight cylinders are available to choose from.

The special focus:

The (201-hp) four-cylinder diesel model GLE300d offers superior performance with an all-time low fuel consumption for this class of vehicles. It is the world’s first production full-size SUV with conventional drive that under the European cycle emits just 140 g of CO2/km (5.4 l/100 km).”

Upon launching in October 2015 at the 200+ Mercedes-Benz U.S. dealers authorized to sell Vans, the Metris will be available with a powerful and highly efficient 4-cylinder gasoline engine that has 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to a refined, efficient, and robust 7-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. This powertrain application, with optional ECO start/stop, was developed specifically for the U.S. and Canadian markets to meet the needs of the Mid-Size Commercial Van Segment, and also comes with a service interval of up to 15,000 miles.

Advanced safety features are a hallmark for any Mercedes-Benz vehicle, and the Metris will feature 6 airbags for the Cargo Van variant and 8 airbags for the Passenger Van variant. All models will feature standard ATTENTION ASSIST, standard Crosswind Assist, and standard load-adaptive ESP. Optional safety features will include Active Parking Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, PARKTRONIC, Collision Prevention Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a rearview camera. Many of the interior features are taken from other recent automotive entrants into the Mercedes-Benz lineup, such as premium touches and overall fit-and-finish. Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe – 838HP!

850 6.0 Biturbo coupe packs 838HP and 848 Ft. Lbs of torque!


Brabus has brought its 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe to Geneva. Packing a lot power, the coupe has had its torque limited from 1069 to 848 ft. lbs. Similar to the Rocket 900 based on the 4 door S-Class, this coupe has a slew of Brabus performance items and aesthetic modifications. The top speed is limited to 217 MPH, and Brabus says the coupe will reach from 0-60 MPH in 3.5 seconds.

Mercedes has released the Maybach S600 Pullman in all its glory. This extended wheelbase “S-Class” is longer in length than a Phantom or the old Maybach 62. The vehicle offers true opulence inside with extremely well made and tailor crafted wood, leather, and metallic touches.

Brabus Rocket 900 Intro – The Uber S!

Brabus has introduced their Rocket 900, a 887 HP S Class based on the S65 AMG



Brabus, the German tuning house responsible for some truly wild creations, has just released details on its Rocket 900. Based on the S65 AMG, this uber sedan packs a V12 engine that has been bored out to 6.3L from 5.5L. The result is a eye watering amount of horsepower and torque, 887 and 1,106 respectively. That’s an insane amount of power, and it helps to get the Rocket 900 to a top speed of 217 MPH. The transmission and differential have been beefed up to handle the extra power. 0-60 is pegged at 3.7 seconds.

The interior also gets the Brabus treatment. The fine leather interior sports Brabus logos and interior boasts of the same luxury and standards that you would find in any ultra luxury vehicle. The available Brabus iBusiness suite incorporates your favorite Apple products into the vehicle to allow for pleasure or play whilst on the road.

Check out some more information from the Brabus press release: “At the heart of the luxury sedan is the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 Biturbo increased-displacement engine with a peak power output of 662 kW / 900 hp (887 bhp) and a peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft).
The power unit in the bow shoots the four-door car from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).
Visually the BRABUS super car impresses with a carbon-fiber aerodynamic-enhancement kit, BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” 21- or 22-inch wheels and an exquisite two-tone BRABUS fine leather interior.
The BRABUS “iBusiness” infotainment system for the BRABUS ROCKET 900 is based on state-of-the-art components from Apple such as the iPad mini, the Mac mini, iPod touch and Apple TV, which can be controlled with a custom-developed BRABUS Remote app.”
