Arriving early next year, Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to launch its S-Class coupe. Based on the newly released W222 S-Class Sedan, the coupe has the trademark pillar-less windows that roll all the way down. This brings into life Mercedes’s sensual clarity motif that has been at the center of the car’s design and theme. The S-Class Coupe will also spawn a S-Class Cabriolet as well. Bet on the Cabriolet having a soft top roof, a-la the Bentley GT. Both of the S-Class 2 Door body styles will be available with twin turbo V8 or V12 engines.

Inside, the interior will be similar to the W222 S Class sedan, with some minor tweaks. There will be a three spoke steering wheel, 2+2 style seating, and the availability of the Designo catalog, allowing customers to further enhance their car’s uniqueness.

All in all, this looks to be a gorgeous coupe (and cabriolet) that will be sure to turn heads and ignite hearts.

 

2014 Mercedes G63 6×6 Priced at $513,000

Want to get behind the wheel of the 6×6 G63 AMG? If so, be prepared to shell out a whopping 513,000 US Dollars (379,000 Euros). 6x6s Don’t come cheap.

However, even if the price tag doesn’t shock you, the fact that Mercedes-Benz won’t be bringing the 6×6 G63 to the United States or any RHD country might. Using a simple deduction, there will probably be some of these 6x6s in Europe with the rest going to the Middle East. Sad day for us here in the States.

The new configurator allows you to choose the options and colors that you’ve always wanted to see in the new W222 S-Class. The base price is $92,900, but after we loaded ours up, it came to a grand total of $139,120. We chose to go with the Diamond White metallic over the black extended Nappa leather.

2015 W205 C-Class: SPIED! In Depth Look!

The new W205 C-Class looks very promising! Taking styling cues from recent Mercedes-Benz products, the new C-Class will more likely than not incorporate LEDs into the headlight, a la S-Class, for a refined, poised look. The W205 as a whole will give off a sporty, yet mature look that should fare well with entry level luxury car buyers. In fact, the new C will probably look like a smaller, sportier version of the W222 S-Class.

The car will bow with a highly restyled exterior that is slated to be roughly 200 LBS lighter than the outgoing model. Mercedes-Benz spent an additional $350 per vehicle to make the roof, doors, trunk, front fenders, and hood out of Aluminium. The lightest C Class weighs 3086 lbs, something that will most definitely make driving enthusiasts smile.

Additionally, the car will boast a slew of new drive-trains, like a mild-hybrid and plug-in versions. Of course, we should expect a 4 cylinder turbo diesel, a 4 cylinder turbo diesel, a v6 turbo, and a V8 AMG model.

The interior has been thoroughly revised as well. The gauge cluster features two analog gauges with a central digital display. Three circular air vents stand out prominently from the center stack, as well as stylish black finishes and chrome and aluminum matte finsih knobs and buttons. The steering wheel is a 3 spoke design with multi-function buttons. Like the CLA and GLA, the W205 does feature a large central infotainment screen with various functions. Again, the interior reminds us of the W222 S-Class, albeit with C-Class flair and sportiness.

2014 Mercedes E250 BluTech – 45 MPG Highway

Looking for that classic E-Class experience? The 2014 E250 delivers with 45MPG Highway and 28 MPG city, all while delivering a stout 369 Ft. Lbs. of Torque.

The 2014 model lineup for the E-Class will include a Diesel version. Yes, that is the E250 BluTech. This model will feature a 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine that will produce 195 BHP. Mated to the seven-speed 4Matic automatic transmission, it is designed to offer efficiency with excellent driving dynamics.

The engine should sound very sweet. According to the Mercedes-Benz press release, “two Lanchester balance shafts spin at twice crankshaft speed in sophisticated, low-friction roller bearings” to smooth out the 4 cylinders inherent tendency for vibration. What’s more, the engine will produce  “no turbo lag, fast throttle response, a broad torque curve across the entire engine speed range and noticeably improved performance. What’s more, the 369 lb-ft of torque is readily available at 1,800 rpm.”

Impressive, indeed.

The 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class – Starting at $92,900

Mercedes-Benz is offering its completely revamped 2014 S-Class at a starting price which is 2.8% lower than the outgoing model ($2,100 difference). All While giving you more standard equipment.

Some of the standard features on the S550: panoramic sunroof, keyless (Keyless GO) start, a rear-view camera, Magic Vision Control, LED headlights, taillights, and interior lights. That’s on top of the additional 20 BHP from the 4.6L twin turbo V8.

If you can wait until November 2013, the S63 AMG 4Matic will become available. For $139,500 you will receive the AMG treatment with 577 BHP.

If the 6×6 G63 AMG wasn’t hardcore enough for you, we would like to introduce you to the B63S Brabus. This vehicle is a 6×6 that features 690 Horsepower and 709 Ft. Lbs. of Torque. That’s up from an already impressive 536 Horsepower and 561 Ft. lbs. of Torque. The 0-60 time of around 7.4 seconds is a true feat considering the size and girth of the B63S. The 37 inch offroad tires are there, and the top speed is limited to 100 MPH.

According to the Brabus press release,

“The production turbochargers are replaced by two special BRABUS turbochargers with larger compressor unit, which produce a higher boost pressure. BRABUS Gold Heat Reflection sheathing for the intake and charge-air pipes further lower the charge-air temperature. This measure contributes equally to the power yield and to the flawless durability, which also manifests itself in the BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013) that is unparalleled in the industry.

In addition, special high-performance metal catalysts with 75-mm (2.9 in.) downpipes are installed to lower the back pressure. The stainless-steel sport exhaust system with controlled butterfly valve was custom-developed for the G 63 6×6 AMG and offers both optimized power yield and active control of the exhaust note. Drivers can select at the push of a button between the subtle “Coming Home” mode and a markedly potent exhaust note in the “Sport” position. The BRABUS exhaust system also puts its visual stamp on both sides of the vehicles with two striking dual sidepipes.

Specially calibrated BRABUS mapping for the engine management system coordinates the perfect interaction of all high-performance components while also ensuring compliance with the stringent EURO V emission standards.

With these major modifications the B63S – 700 engine, which is also available for the G 63 AMG 4×4 model, produces 515 kW / 700 hp (690 bhp) at a low 5,300 rpm.”

The B63S also gets special Carbon fiber bodywork pieces as well. It will feature a full carbon fiber hood scoop, unique front bumper, special radiator grille, and matte carbon fiber accents.

The interior is a combination of red leather, red and black carbon fiber, and Alcantara. It offers a full leather floor and unique leather/Alcantara headliner. Superb attention to detail is evident throughout the cabin, as the interior was crafted mostly in house at Brabus.

Mercedes Benz Flashback – W124 E36 AMG Coupe

The W124 E36 AMG was a very rare, special AMG model offered by Mercedes Benz.

Stats:

Engine: 3,604cc straight-six, Power: 268bhp @ 5,750rpm, Torque: 284lb/ft @ 3,750rpm, Transmission: 4-speed automatic, Weight: 1.540kg.

0-62 MPG in 7.2 Seconds and a top speed of 155 MPH. It featured the same motor found in the C36 AMG.

The body was upgraded with all of the AMG body work at that time, in addition to the gorgeous multi-piece wheels. A true rare AMG car that is fast and looks timeless.
